Biography

Flatsker Fine Art Restoration brings over 22 years of European trained experience to antiques and decorative arts that are in need of cleaning, repair, conservation or major restoration. Founder Melinda Flatsker graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts -Restoration and Conservation Training Institute in 2003. Upon graduation, she worked at The King St. Stephen Museum in Hungary where her responsibilities included overseeing and attaining the highest possible standard of conservation, examination, documentation, treatment, research and education of all museum contents.

In 2010 she opened her private restoration studio in California where she services a wide variety of clients in the art industry ranging from art dealers and collectors to private parties.

  • Preventive conservator consultant, Directorate of the Museums of Fejer County 2003-2006
  • Internship, European Archeological Center, Mont-Beuvray, France, summer 1999
  • Paid Internship, Georg Smith Art Studio, Austria 1997-1998
