Using the most advanced techniques and materials possible, we work on all types of china and porcelain. Examples of what we do include removing a poor or discolored prior restoration; dismantling, rebounding and aligning broken fragments; filling, and color matching chipped or missing areas; sealing cracks to prevent further deterioration; reconstructing missing parts; and retouching by precision airbrushing or hand painting and glazing to create an invisible repair.
Ceramic objects can be restored so that any damage is no longer visible to the naked eye. Our ceramic restorations are performed using reversible, non-destructive methods and materials. We can reverse previous repairs, assemble broken pieces, replace missing areas, paint and replicate nearly any design, shape, color and finish.
Even completely shattered items can be repaired if all the pieces are available. Make sure that you don’t try to fit the pieces together or glue them yourself before you send them to us (doing so causes tiny chips along the brake points that will make the lines more visible once the item is repaired). We can recreate the missing parts with tinted crystal clear resin that look like glass.
We restore not only one color pieces, but also we can recreate the painted enamel designs (flower, body parts, etc.) that are often present on jewelry boxes and plaques. To preserve original work, we use cold technique and you will not be able to see the repair with the naked eye and in most cases with a ten power loupe.
